Dwight Battle
Liquid Courage
Not sure if ole Dwight has ever received a POTW nod, but he earned it and deserves this one.
Dwight being the veteran kickballer he is brings a great non-chalant attitude to the game along with his commanding presence.
I feel safe saying Dwight hasn't run this much in a LONG time. At the plate he was a monster. One kick he got a hold of and sent screaming to right field...now five years ago, Dwight would have had an inside the park home run. Speed up to current day and it was a different story. Rounding second base and picking up speed as though he was a runaway semi-truck, Dwight barreling into third base and blew right through the Stop signal from his base coach. I'm not entirely sure he COULD have stopped if he wanted to, but at any rate, it was entertaining. He got two steps from home before he was gunned down. Dwight in typical fashion came away smiling and giving props to his opponents. Great game Dwight!

Justin Host
We Got Da Runz
Justin Hoist helped his team, We Got Da Runz, forget about their week one offensive struggles by getting them on the board early and often. Justin being the team captain decided to lead by example from the start of the game. In his first kick, he belted a ball deep in the outfield that led him to clear the bases for a three run home run. To think this was only the beginning of what would be a productive night for Justin. Each time he stepped to the plate, he drove in his teammates who were stranded on the bases. This included another homerun late in the game, when their oppenents were trying to make a comeback. Justin's play and sttitude definitely dererve POTW honors. Keep up the great leadership Justin.

Jayma Lackey
Ban Munters
If there was a player knocked on the ground tonight, odds are Jayma was involved.
She seemed to be a constant target for the kickball in both games. A few times it caused her to take wild spills and amazingly enough she came away smiling each and every time.
Jayma brough a great heart, good sportsmanship, and plenty of friendly smiles!

T.J. Tischendorf
Liquid Courage
T.J. Tischendorf stood tall on the mound last Thursday, displaying fantastic ball control and gold glove caliber fielding abilities. His foot to hand catch was Sportscenter worthy, and his booming kicks left other players slack jawed in amazement. Despite his Olympian caliber physical gifts, the most impressive part of T.J.'s performance may have been his calm leadership, and the compassionate sportsmanship he displayed for his opponents.

Aaron Estep
We Got Da Runz
Aaron started off his great game by booting a solo home run for the first run of the game. His next at bat, was a triple and another run. Later he added on a couple of singles to complete his perfect day at the plate. Great kicking Aaron!

Jesse Thayer
Just for Kicks-INDY #1 Ravenna Tues/Thurs
Most players when faced with a 15 run deficit would just go through the motions, but not Jesse. On offense, he was hustling around the base paths putting pressure on the defense. Doing whatever he could to give his team an offensive spark. On defense though, is where Jesse shined. Routinely he sprinted full steam after fly balls destined to be foul. A couple of times he fully laid out diving trying to catch line drives. The score may not not of been close, but Jesse showed everyone there was no quit in him. Way to leave it all on the field, Jesse!

Zach Adams
FHA Ballers
This weeks player of the week goes to Zach A. for his all around play, and also team motivating skills he provided in the down time. Zach helped his team snatch 2 victories in their double-header night with his grit on defense, and steel foot at the plate. Zach had a few great catches, and also kicked a BIG homer to give his team needed insurance runs in the first game. Great games Zach!

Charles
Liquid Courage
Charles was a maniac in the outfield. I wasn't sure if he was playing right field or left field because he was all over the place snagging pop flies. He looked like Griffey in in '96.
Brandon deserved player of the week for his clutch play when his team, Sacks & Racks, needed it most. Like most of the players from Sacks & Racks, Brandon saved his best for the playoffs. From the first inning you could see Brandon was all about business. He played phenomenal defense in the outfield covering alot of ground and making stellar catches in closely contest battle with Liquid Courage. His defense was only part of the reason he deserved player of the week honors. He was an offensive jauggernaut by getting on base every time he came to the plate. However getting on base was not enough for Brandon, he was very aggressive on the base paths trying to score whenever the opportunity presented itself. This was no more evident then in the bottiom of the seventh with his team trailing by a run, Brandon was the winning run on second base. On a base hit to the outfield Brandon's aggressive base running style led him to be the winning run and keep his team alive for the championship.
