Summer Softcore Kickball in Everett Thursdays

In an extremely high scoring game, Ashley Pace came through with a defensive play to beat them all. She made an unassisted triple play for The Silver Bullets, who won the high scoring game. That spark on defense was just what the Bullets needed to continue their great offense. Nice work, Ashley!

Nate Bowen should best be described as a opportunist. With his team tied in the bottom of the seventh inning and a runner on base. Nate took his opportunity at the plate and made the most of it. Nate calmly kicked a precise kick to the oufield for a base hit and moved the runner up to second. On the next play when the lead runner was tagged out, Nate became the go ahead run. He again would take this opportunity and make the most of it. On the very next kick, Nate made it easily to third but decided that was not good enough so he took off for home while defense was trying to get the ball into the catcher. The throw was not in time and Nate seized the opportunity by scoring the game winning run for Blue Ballers. Blue Ballers should be a force with Nate Bowen leading the charge.

Cori and Andi signfied the term of "team player" by their actions that enabled Last Minute to pull out a come from behind win. Trailing by two In the bottom of the seventh innning,Cori and Andi laid down two beautiful suicide squeeze bunts down the first base line to score the tying and winning runs. Their selfless act let Last Minute to advance to the next round in the playoffs where they were able to pull out another win. Nice work Cori and Andi.
