Summer Softcore Kickball at Ballard Boys and Girls Club Sundays

Gareth Koler from Ballard Knights had one of those games that make you wonder if this guy human. Gareth's defense at third base helped keep his team in the game against Turkey Snazzler. It seemed in every inning that Gareth was making spectacular play after play which included mutiple throw outs at home plate and double plays. While Ballard Knights fell short in the the game, it was not due to the lack of effort by Gareth. Keep up the gold glove defense Gareth.

His shirt said it all, The Flash. Ben was a blur. He fielded a ball after it went into foul territory behind first base then ran down the runner trying to go home. Then from homeplate, he ran down the runner trying to make it to second for a doubleplay. Ben also added a homerun in which he almost caught his teammate that was on first base, and had 5 RBIs. Great game Ben!

Player of the week during championship week is a special thing. It takes either a truly great performance on the field or something else that drives their team to new heights. For Joe it was the latter. He contributed more than he has all season, albeit not on the diamond. He rallied his team together, made them work harder and gave them the drive to bring the title home. Congrats on the championship and a great season!
