Late Summer Co-ed Beach Volleyball at Golden Gardens Tuesdays

This week, Adam "Purple Lightning" Trask, of Loosely Based served for over 40 points! Watch out for Loosely Based! They are really improving as a team and I think they'll definitely be a team to compete with on Tuesdays at Golden Gardens. Way to go, Adam Trask and shouts out to Loosely Based!

Colby earned player of the week this week but really it is a true testament to the whole team. Colby showed great leadership as he advised players who were not playing to watch the lines and call the balls that were "in" and "out." This plan helped keep Cocktails & Dreams in the game the entire way through. As well as leading his team from outside of the game, Colby was just as creative inside the game. When Colby played around the net, he used his athletic ability to block and spike the ball on the opponents. Colby also showed a great sense of humor and sportsmanship throughout the whole game. Great job Colby! You were a stud on and off the court!

After being down early in the first set, Mark knew he had to change the momentum of the game. This was the theme for Mark as his team fought tooth and nail against a talented Loosely Based team. But with pure desire and athleticism, Mark willed his team to a 2-1 victory over Loosely Based. A terror on the court, Mark was everywhere making play after play. One armed digs, point saving dives, masterful serves, mammoth blocks, and incredible spikes all packaged in one, is what made Mark a special player today. Mark and the rest of the Gobshites will be riding this momentum right into playoffs!

This birthday girl became the player of the week due to her outstanding play that led 99 Problems but a Beach Ain't One to a championship victory. Her heart and hustle were key this week. She never quit on herself and more importantly never gave up on her team. Courtney showed amazing bumping abilities and even digging abilities. Courtney was absolutely a rockstar out there tonight. Great job tonight Courtney! Happy Birthday!
