Big Bats, BIGGER BALLS!, Filthy Pitches - Indy #1, Team Honey Badger
Absolutely Filthy!!
Tony P and the Filthy Pitches Clutch
A 6 inning explosion lead by Tony Pagano helped seal the deal on Tuesday night vs Slalom Consulting. His base clearing bomb gave Filthy Pitches a 6 run cushion heading into the 7th inning and managed to hold on for a well earned 2 run victory. Tony batted 3 for 4 with a HR and a triple which came at a crucial time in the game and helped Filthy Pitches outlast Slalom Consulting. Great game Tony.
Team Honey Badger forfeited to Big Bats, BIGGER BALLS!.

Slalom Consulting, Smack My Pitch Up!, St. Andrews
tonya pitman
Filthy Pitches - Indy #1
Tonya came up big in her teams 1st game. Even though her team wasn't able to pull out the W, when she came in to pitch, she stifled the Big Bats and kept her team in the game.
She also got it done at the plate as she hit a massive home run that sent the Big Bats defense scurrying.

Joseph Graves
Smack My Pitch Up!
This weeks player of the week goes to the Joe G. and his performance at the plate. Joe went 5 for 5 in his last game to help his team get another "W". Joe not only dominated at the plate, he also played stellar defense at numerous positions throughout the game. Great game Joe!

Adrienne Inions
Big Bats, BIGGER BALLS!
This weeks player of the week goes to Adrienne I. for her tough work in righ-field. She made big contributions on defense to help her squad get the victory. It was the final play of the night where she really made her mark ending a rally the opponent was trying to build. With a big hit out to the expansive right-field, Adrienne hustled a great deal and layed out on a relay throw that would eventually get the final out at the plate. It was a great play, and she is this weeks player of the week! Great job Adrienne!
Enough cannot be said about Chris' performance at the plate on Tuesday night. Chris went 3 for 4 with a couple of base clearing knocks and ended up with 6 runs batted in. The man is on fire so opposing teams beware. His defense and hustle was equally impressive helping hold a good team to 14 runs. Great job Chris.

St. Andrews Lights Out!
Alex Alskog's Defense Superb
With the lights literally out on the left section of the field, visibility for the left fielders for both teams Tuesday night was very limited and made for an interesting night all around. Great St. Andrews pitching throughout the game helped keep Smack My Pitch Up scoreless 4 out of the 7 innings played. I know great pitching and that was some very delicious pitching by St. Andrews that absolutely frustrated Smack My Pitch up all evening long. Every ball player knows that without great defense behind its pitcher that pitcher has no chance. Great pitching and defense go hand in hand and that was on display Tuesday night. When Smack My Pitch Up was able to finally get the ball out of the infield in the air it was often to left field where Alex Alskog was camped out. Even in very limited visibility Alex did not miss a ball hit her way and there were a lot of balls hit her way. Time after time she came up with amazing catch after amazing catch and looked great doing it. She even pulled off a double play during the 6th inning which killed a late inning rally attempt. The runner assuming that she had missed a shoe string high ball as she was running in, left too soon and was hastily thrown out. Great catch and great throw out. Alex certainly had a huge hand in helping limit Smack My Pitch Up to 4 runs in 7 innings and I am sure that we will see her do it again soon. Great game Alex. Much Deserved.
