Brea deserves a special shout out for being an incredible organizer and amazing team captain. She basically has command over an army of a team and she does it so gracefully I was awestruck. She made a fluid batting lineup where there was no confusion and a solid defense where everyone was comfortable. I just wanted to say thank you for being an awesome captain. Great Job Brea!

Here for the Beer pulled out an exciting victory thanks to some sly base running by Mitch Wolf. Down 1 run in the 7th, Mitch got aggressive on the basepaths by scoring the tying run from 2nd on a bunt. Mitch's wheels forced the defense into a bad throw that went out of play, allowing the game winning run to cross the plate. Way to go, Mitch!

Crab cakes and kickball. That’s what Maryland does. On Tuesday, May 22, Patrick Klein reminded us all why that age old maxim still rings true. The Mid-Atlantic phenom combined stellar appearances at the plate with a defensive performance for the ages. Klein's performance yesterday makes him the Underdog Player of the Week for the Cascade field. If this man's kickball skills are any indication of what his crab cakes are like, then I hope I get an invite to his next cookout.

Colin Porter gets player of the week tonight for his incredible prowess at the plate. It seemed like the defense knew what was going to happen when he stepped to the plate, but there wasn't much they could do about his moon shot to left field that cleared the grass and hit the cement on the fly. Not many people can make that kick, but Colin made it look easy. What made the home run even better is, his team won their game 6-5 making his homer a huge difference. Way to go Colin!!!!
Kelcey S gets our player of the week for her stellar play at first base. First base is an important position on a kickball team and Kelcey made it obvious why her team put her there. She caught a few clutch pop ups with runners on base and caught every single one of her teammates’ throws to first base. She also chipped in on offense getting on base three times. Nice work tonight Kelcey!!!
With a spot in the championship on the line, Nicholas Malo rolled the game of his life on mound on Tuesday night. Malo allowed just 2 runs over seven innings, as Pitch Please cruised to a 9-2 victory and secured their place in next week's final. They'll be looking for another strong performance on the mound as they battle for the title.
Brooke gets our final player of the week of the season for her Great play on defense and offense. She caught everything that came her way in right field, including a huge catch in a one run game with two outs and a runner on third. On offense she laid down some solid bunts and made a great slide into home to score a huge run to extend her team’s lead! Nice work Brooke!!!
