Winter Midcore Volleyball in Fremont Mondays

Everyone should have the spunk and enthusiasm that Gina has for getting together with friends and playing some volleyball, even when she is injured!! Gina is always a joy to see play and even be around off the court. We hope to see her continue playing throughout the season with that great smile and fun she brings to the court!

This week the Honey Badgers had a double header. Their first game was a tough match but they pulled it together for the second match and got the W. Kelsey was awesome during both games setting her team and diving for balls. All the while she stayed cool as a cucumber and continued to set with ease. Way to go Honey badgers keep up the hustle and way to go Kelsey!

Keri is the captain everyone wants for their team she is always early and ready for any game. She stays calm through the match and comes up with amazing digs that no one thought she could reach. She also has amazing blocks that can turn a game around. I want Keri on my team because she is a great player and rocks the house!

The girls on Solarplex are one of a kind. There is nothing they wouldn't do to keep the ball in the air and playable. I've seen them dive play after play. I've seen them jump up for a ball and bump into their own team just to make sure that someone was going after the ball. The girls of solarplex all work hard and all deserve recognition! Even though they were defeated in the semi-finals they are always enjoyable to watch and I hope to see them next season!
