Fall Midcore Volleyball in Wallingford Wednesdays

The play of the night came during the 8:40 hour. A killer attack came over the net - a real slam - and some how a defender deep in the corner was able to pop it up.... but the kind of dig that sends the ball bee-lining for the net and is almost always impossible to play. "NOT TODAY!" was the unspoken battle cry as Meagan spun around and some how chicken-winged the ball up and over. Mouths agape, cheers rang out, spectators hooped and hollered!

This was just one of Meagan's stellar plays. A triple threat of offense, defense, and positivity - Ballerz are anchored by the talented Meagan H. Good luck when you play this powerhouse!

Shawna gets player of the week because she was celebrating her 29th birthday. Happy Birthday!! Also she had an amazing performance on the court. Killed it all game. Awesome job this week and keep it up.

Brandon Kent of Digs Out For Harambe was like a giant brick wall on the court, which may sound like a negative, but it's not. Brandon was putting up massive blocks throughout all three sets on Wednesday night at Wallingford Boys & Girls Club! No kill went past him without a touch or being stuffed right back down on the other side. For his crazy amazing wall-like skills, Brandon is our player of the week. Congratulations!

Terrance has been a dominating force all season! Mediocre (a misnomer if I've ever seen one - I get what you guys are doing) has played consistently all season and did not dip in the post-season. The first tourny matches were played with all-out hustle and a nice balance of competitiveness and fun. Not to diminish anyone's contributions - but Mediocre might be a completely different team without the strong presence of their go-to attacker, Terrance. The X-factor that keeps the plays rolling AND is a great teammate. Good luck next week!
