Summer Co-ed Kickball at U-Dist Playfield T/Th

At the pitching mound, Joe took a swift kick o' the ball to send it pinging off the body of a runner headed for home in the second inning. The accuracy was deadly! On the defensive side, Joe got a whopping kick sending the ball warped into the air, however it never made it past the base line, BUT! He did make it to first base safely..somehow. he also got a little excited while on base, and went running straight for home with the ball just feet from him..(its safe to assume he got tagged out). All in all, Joe did awesome today. A great asset to the team in both skill and amusement. Nice work Joe ;)

Todd is just MVP in everyone's book after today. Every up to kick, Todd got a home run chasing his team mate to home plate for 2pts on the board. Defensively or offensively, Todd is a guy to keep around for great plays

Tyler was playing outfield. Doing the routine bit of being Tyler. A pop fly comes his way a bit short and (apparently) he pulls a hat trick and just barely gets his toe under the ball to pop it up for his other teammate to catch the volley. However.. it LOOKED like it hit the ground, because toes tend to be so small, so we'll just say Tyler got robbed today for a great play. He did continue to make great plays through the game though, making sweet legitimate catches to help his team to victory.

At the pitching mound, Scott put out some serious effort today. He had some great throws to first all while demonstrating his graceful ballet spins. If he wasn't catching balls flying right at him or tagging the runner out himself, he was there assisting his teammates for the outs. Great work today for getting the the shut out today Scotty!

MJ played some center outfield action and needed a quick pass to home to stop a runner. So MJ drop kicks the ball and straight tags out the girl running home square on the heels! Whether it was by accident, or sheer skill.. it was just plain awesome!

With Stinky Fingers being down two people at the start of the semifinal game, they asked Tyler to cover centerfield all by himself. Tyler seemed up to the task when in the first inning Angry Pirates tried to test his range by kicking a ball to shallow right field. Tyler came up with a spectacular sliding catch. He continued with that great defense in centerfield while helping his team at the plate by driving in a couple of runs and scoring a couple more. Tyler's defense and offense continued in the championship game as Stinky Fingers came away with the title.
