POTW: Kyle Blum
SuperSonics
Supersonics jumped out in front right from the beggining. Scoring 1 or 2 runs a inning, Kyle decided to put it away with a 3 run homerun late in the game. He also played great defense bringing in so great plays I found out at the end of the game that Kyle and Bryce compete against each other to get player of the week. Congrats Kyle your one up on your brother already.

POTW: Maria Barnes
Toot It & Boot It
This weeks player of the week goes to Maria Barnes who starts the season off errorless, which is a huge accomplishment in the Kick-ball arena! She played first-base and never dropped a ball hit her way or thrown her way. She played stellar ball and accounted for most of her teams outs on "D". She is the player of the week! Great job Maria!

POTW: Matt Keller
We've Got the Runs!
It's hard not to give POTW to someone who was unanimously voted that he was "the team". This is why Matt Keller earned it this week. Matt catapulted his team single-handedly (or footedly) into the lead with a 2 RBI kick. Matt then cemented the victory by making 2 amazing sliding catches in the outfield that were sure to go for extra bases. Matt definitely had the runs to win his team the game. Great job Matt.

POTW: Katie Brempelis
RH2
Its tough to get outs when you're short players. But it makes it easier when you have a shortstop like Katie Brempelis. Katie was a black hole out there. Any and every ball that came her way was caught. One of those catches was a sweet over-the-shoulder catch to end an inning. Katie also had a pre-existing quad injury and she played right through the pain. Way to play Katie!

Trevor To The Rescue
The Dream Team and the SuperSonics faced off in a epic battle of two veteran teams with a lot of fire power. Instead of runs, their was amazing defense by both teams..... Trevor had a great all around game. On offense, he was all of it.. With 3 triples and 5 RBI's he was the man.... The SuperSonics didn't have a answer for his defense. With his power throws across the field to get the female bunters he also made an over the head finger tip catch. Great game Trevor, you deserve it bro.....

Plenty of Loveless
Tony did it all this week. In the final game of a doubleheader he pitched the whole game with ease.... He also helped his own cause... He was perfect behind the plate, kicking 2 homeruns (1 for a grand slam) with a total of 7 RBI's... Hell of a game Tony.. It was a close for the first 5 innings until Tony put Team Rehab up for good with the Grand Slam... Way to slam the door shut.. Great Game.......

Perfect at the plate
In a tough sport, Kickball, getting a kick against a great defense is tough but Justin nelson did just that. Justin came to the plate 5 times and got on base everytime. Justin spread his kicks to every portion of the field, and could not be stopped and raked in plenty of RBI's! Great job Justin!

Homeruns are a good way to get runs
Bill Congdon, Supersonics
Chicks dig the long ball. Everybody knows that. That being the case, chicks must dig Bill Congdon. His team had a double-header and over those two games he had 3 homeruns. His team put up an average of 15 runs in those two games, and Bill was a big reason for that. He also had some nice catches in the outfield that helped maintain their lead. Great job Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!

Celebrate good times, come on!
There are a lot of firsts in peoples lives. Nothing feels better than trying and trying and finally getting your first. Kelli had a first and it was awesome. It was a high fly ball to rightfield and Kelli just ate it up. That wasn't the best part. Her celebration was great too. She was jumping up and down and getting high-fives left and right. Kelli also got on base just about every time she was up helping her team produce runs. Nice catch out there Kelli, I'm sure there will be more to come!
Just kicking it jumped out to an early lead and The Supersonics didn't look like they were gonna pull it off. But they managed to get within 1 run for a tie and 2 for the lead in the top of the 7th. The captain for the Supersonics Joe Timpe then made the play of the night. With 2 runners on he kicked the ball the in the gap and gave his team the go ahead lead. They got the final 3 outs in the bottom of the 7th to seal the win.
Team Rehab played a heck of a game with precise kicking and defense but their pitcher was on a mission. Tony played a marvelous game all with one arm. With his left arm heavily wrapped he pitched and still managed to get would be bunters out at ease. At the plate he put Toot It and Boot It away with a late 3 run homerun. Both teams played a very competitive game that went to the wire. Congrats to Team Rehab and the One Armed Bandit for a great game.

Zena McCoy has learned the art of willing the ball into her hands....Jedi-Style. Blind folded, Zena would still catch your fly ball. She is an amazing shortstop w/superhuman capabilities. Hopefully Zena maintains her great attitude and does not become tempted by the dark side;) Great job, Zena!!
The Dream Team, sore and battered up from winning it all in the Red Rubber Showdown 8 played the Supersonics that were fresh and poised to pull off a upset. It was a battle throughout the game. Both teams showing precise defense and uncanny kicking abilities, it was the Supersonics that scored first in the 2nd inning on a line drive in the gap to score the first run. The Dream Team, not feeling any pressure answered back to go up by 2 on precise kicking from the whole team. It looked like the Supersonics were eager to push the limits. Not once but twice Kyle let off with a single and both times they got the runner at first and threw out Kyle trying to get to third.. We had a tie ball game until the bottom of the 6th inning when The Dream Team had runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out and the ball was kicked deep into right center field. The runner tagged from 2nd base and easily scored. That was when The Dream Team played the best, going 1,2,3 in the 7th to win yet another championship. It was truly a team effort from both teams and if not the best championship game I have seen yet. Great job to both teams.
