Third Time is the Charm for EBK in Title Game

Upsets Glory Days to Win the Title

EBK used and outstanding offensive game plan and a stifling defense to upset Glory Days 27-15 in the Gentlemens Championship game.
On the first possession of the game EBK moved down the field with a time consuming drive that ultimately saw Jason Griffiths hit DJ Swavely in the corner of the end zone for an early lead. Glory Days responded on their first possession with a touchdown drive of their own, tying the score at 7. From that point on, EBK's defense dominated the night. They were able to hold the high scoring Glory Days offense without a score for the rest of the first half and 18 minutes in the 2nd half. In the meantime, the EBK offensive game plan seemed to click on all cylinders. Griffiths hit Swavely for another touchdown and then found Mike Schauble in the end zone late in the first half for a touchdown, making it 21-7 at intermission.
In the 2nd half defense ruled the day for both teams, as constant pressure by Kevin Campbell led to errant passes from Glory Days QB's. The Glory Days defense also managed to keep EBK out of the end zone until late in the game. But their defense couldn't make up for an anemic offensive night. Griffiths walked in for the last EBK touchdown with less than 2 minutes remaining. Glory Days managed an "oh by the way" TD as time expired, but it was way too little, way too late.
A great season ended with EBK as the Late Fall champs.
