  Kiss My Ace V. 2.0

2.0 Wins Championship #1

After losing in the semi-finals of the playoffs in the early fall season, Kiss My Ace came back for a second season determined to pick up a championship. This time they rolled through the playoffs without losing a single set.

In the opening round, KMA was given a scare in the second set. After picking up a first set win, they had their eyes on the semi-final again, but Served With Ice had other ideas, they played tough the whole match, with points being matched on both sides. KMA squeezed it out though, winning 26-24.

In the second round, they played against a slightly depleted SMASH. Starting with 5 players, KMA still was able to march out to a quick first set lead before finishing it off with a win. In the second set, KMA faltered slightly again. SMASH came out to a quick 8-2 lead behind some big time serves. they were finally able to stop the rally though, move on from that rotation and come back to win a close one 25-22.

The championship saw them go up against a well rested Just the Tip. Just the Tip was able to scout KMA's semi-final match, but it turned out to not matter as KMA saved up their best for the final. Just the Tip just wasn't able to keep up with the big time serves and hit from KMA as they marched to a 25-19, 25-22 victory and a championship.

I'd Hit That Avenges Losses in the Playoffs

I'd Hit That went through the regular season with a record of 3-3, but all three of those losses were to the #1 and #2 seeds Tom Cruising and Drop, Pop and Block It. They got their chance to avenge all 3 losses in the 2 week playoff bracket.

After winning in the first round against Only Our Drinks Are Spiked, they first went up against Drop, Pop and Block It who they had lost to 1-2 in the 3rd week of the season. They only needed two sets to get by D, P, and B in this one though, posting identical 25-19 scores to move on to the finals.

In the finals, they went up against number 1 seed Tom Cruising to Victory. Tom Cruising had beat I'd Hit That twice on the season, winning all 3 sets in both matches. I'd Hit That turned the tables early though winning their first set against Tom Cruising in the first game 25-21.

They would put up an identical score in the second set, to avenge their other two regular season losses and win the championship.

  That Just Happened

Unwrapping a Championship

Two days after Christmas, That Just Happened gave themselves a late present with an Underdog Championship.

After making it to the semi-finals in the early fall season, T.J.H. was determined to push through and win it all. In the first match, they faced a stiff test from The Defending Champions. The Defending Champions put up a big fight, but couldn't handle the big hits from TJH or get around their blocks and fell in two sets 25-20 and 25-21.

In the championship game, they went up against Saints who also scraped by with a 2 set win in their semi-final. TJH picked up the first set with a 25-20 victory and ran out to a quick 10-4 lead in the 2nd set. The Saints weren't done yet though, as they mounted a big comeback and came out ahead 26-24.

TJH really picked it up in the 3rd set though. They once again jumped out to a big lead, but this time they left their foot on the pedal and finished off the night with a 25-16 win.
