Being that it was the first week for Monday First Baptist, some players may have been a little rusty shaking off the summer sun, but Stacey from Gumpy Bumpers was not at all rusty and served like a champ! She is ready for the season and with those wicked serves will be tough competition throughout the season!

This week Sami took on every position her team assigned her. She set a couple plays, had some monster hits, dove for some digs in the back row and aced her serves! Sami was full of energy and power ready to take her team to victory.

Trick or Treat!

As we gear up for halloween Morgan was mastering his tricking skills over giving treats when it came to his hitting. You never knew if a power hit was coming or a tip. Also the opposing team would guess left and he would hit right. His bag of tricks helped his team have an extremely close match against Gratuitous sets and violence. I hope once halloween comes his tricks pay off and lead to a win.

Shawn from Gratuitous sets and violence had a great game this week. He was pretty chaotic and scrappy but it led his team to victory against the Millimathletes. His enthusiasm for the game is unlike any one else. He is always laughing and having a good time keeping the game easy and fun! Good work Shawn.

Mahrukh from Millimathletes was the core of her team this week as she has been other weeks. She is sneaky in her silent ways of being where the ball is hit and having great sets to her teammates. She may be small but she covers the court like it is easy. Great work Mahrukh! Keep it up!

This week Ben came in craving the titile of underdog champ, he was loud on the court, had a big smile to keep his team upbeat served phenomenal and set like there was no tomorrow. He will be tough to face come the new season after a tough loss to Gratuitous sets and violence in the finals. Keep it up Ben!
