Winter Gentlemen's Flag Football at Nathan Hale HS Wednesdays

QB Matt Y earns this week's Player of the Week for throwing 6 TD's, leading his team to a narrow 1 score victory. Matt could do no wrong, firing dart after dart as his teammates did a great job of finding their way open. Watch out Men's division, Underdog's version of Matty Ice is just warming up.

Josh G earns this week's Player of the Week award for his outstanding offensive performance. Josh ended up catching the game-winning TD/PAT combo. He was doing it all game, catching first down after first down. When his team needed him in the end, he came through in the clutch.

In two games today Joe scored four total touchdowns. But in the second game of the night his team was able to secure a one point victory over their opponents through two amazing full field touchdowns brought in by Joe. On the first play of the game, racing down the sideline, he was able to outpace the defender to bring down a great throw from his quarterback. In the second half with the game tied, a duck was lofted into the air which Joe was able to get back to, avoid the tackle and score. Congratulations on the win and way to play.

Craig H gets our final player of the week of the season for his clutch defensive effort in the championship game. In a back and forth contest between two extremely talented teams, Craig stepped up in a big way at the beginning of the second half. After his team was forced to punt, Craig bated the QB into an ill-advised throw, stepped in front of the receiver and took it to the house for a pick six. Without the pick six, the outcome could have been very different as Boolin held on for a 5 point victory. Nice work Craig!!!
