Kelly Gagne
Ballbarian Horde
Kelly G earns this week's Player of the Week award for going 4-4, scoring 3 runs and kicking in 2. It was an incredible debut for someone who on her first at-bat claimed "I haven't done this in 10 years!" before placing a beautiful bunt down the third base line. She wasn't all bunts, as she drilled a ball deep to right to plate 2 in a later at bat. Well done, Kelly!
This past Wednesday at the Ballard Boys and Girls' Club, Ryan Jones displayed the qualities that have made him a fixture player in Underdog for years. He showed up early, got his team organized, and made great plays from the catcher role. For combining winning plays with a winning attitude, Ryan is our player of the week.

Kaila Lightner
Violent Chubbies
Kaila L earns this week's Player of the Week award in her triumphant return to the kickball diamond. Fresh off of having a baby (she claimed numerous times!), she made some great plays in right field, as well as a great effort in diving (well, falling) on a ball that was just out of her reach. Congrats, and welcome back Kaila!
Avery showed great athleticism and field presence for her team. It was obvious that the other players looked to her as a leader. When a very skillful double down the line was called back for kicking in front of the plate. She showed great humility and understanding in the way she responded and interacted with me.

Ryan played catcher for his team and so he chatted with me a lot. He was cool and fun, new how to play kickball and understanding of the calls. Even willing to help explain some more confusing ones to the rest of his team.
Matt was a total good sport. He led his team with some good fair aggressiveness and when they started to blow out the other team, they took it a little easier, coached a little and made the game a worthwhile experience
Lisa F earns this week's Player of the Week award for her amazing prowess on defense. Every ball kicked to her in right, she made an amazing play on. You could tell kickers were trying to avoid her by the end of the game as they lifted lazy pop flies to the infield trying to change the way they kicked. Lisa had that much of an impact on the game!
