This weeks player of the week go to the third-base coach of the ThunderBats. She played a key role in getting her base runners from base to base safely and not pressing the issue of extra bases in a game they were in control of. She had each player go station to station as both teams worked on their skills for the long season ahead. Great job coach, and classy!

Smoldering Remains
Tamara Marson did something Saturday against Big Bats Bigger Balls that is rarely done in any slow pitch softball league. She was as steady as a rock on the mound issuing no walks during the entire game. Her strategically placed pitches caused problems for BBBB in the later innings and almost paved the way for an incredible comeback after being down by 11 runs entering the 5th inning. It was a total team effort despite the loss and an incredible pitching performance by Tamara.Simply awesome!

On Saturday Gerrad put on a display of pitching that is rarely seen in slow pitch softball. His strategic pitching coupled with tight Renton Ninja's defense helped hold Smoldering remains to 2 runs the entire game. Gerrad also batted 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a single to help his cause. Absolutely Cy Young type performance and very rare. Hats off to Gerrad.

On a rainy saturday evening at Hamlin park, the Renton Ninjas came ready to play some ball! The defense and pitching were great the whole game, and so were the bats! The team scored a total of 17 runs and Travis Pursell helped the team big with a 3-4 performance at the plate including two homeruns and a triple! Nice Work!

It was a beautiful Saturday October evening and the PB Army came ready to play some ball! Barely losing their first game in the last inning 15-17, they weren't going to let that happen again! In the second game, D Begin helped his team win going 3-4 with 6 RBI's and some great pitching and defense. The PB Army came through with a great team effort to take the win!

Jerome was an absolute warrior on Saturday at the plate and at short stop. Jerome was very instrumental in both of Smoldering Remain's wins on their march toward the league championship.On the day Jerome batted 8 for 9 with 2 triples, 4 doubles and a single while scoring 6 runs and batting in 9 runs. Awesome performance.
