Summer Co-ed Softball at Queen Anne/Interbay Tues/Thurs

Joe had a terrific game on opening day this week, snagging three K's for the game at pitcher and swinging his team to a decisive 14-9 victory with a grand slam to left field. Joe had several hits for the night, but none bigger than his homer. Wyld Stallyns struck in the 4th inning to make it a one run game, but Joe kept them at bay slamming a round-tripper and putting the game away for good. Great game Joe!

In an intense battle between two very good hitting teams, Katie Grape made the difference defensively in the last two innings. She was tested time and again with deep hit balls and rose to the challenge each time helping secure a hard fought five run victory. Without her defense in the later innings the scoring outcome would have been a lot different.

Mike took over pitching duties early in the game and pitched an absolute gem of a game. he helped himself out by batting 3 for 3 with 1 triple and 2 doubles. Also drove in 4 of the teams 16 runs.

Robbie was truely a one man wrecking ball. Has a pitcher he held the opponent to only 6 runs throwing a full range of pitches. To add to his pinpoint pitching, Robbie provided plenty of bat skills to put his team over the top. Robbie finished with 9 RBI's all by himself helping his team to an easy win 21-6. Robbie almost hit for the cycle coming one triple away. He did have 3 inside the park homers.Amazing job Robbie!!

On a sunny, balmy Tuesday night when the all-stars were taking center stage under the bright lights in Anaheim, a true all-star took the field at Interbay. Michelle Zaragoza led her team to a dominant victory with her leadership, her attitude, her style, and her flair for the dramatic.

Sure, she may have had one hit. Sure, there are others on her squad who made stellar plays in the field. But Michelle leads the league in intangibles. She's got that special something that holds her team together and turns a bumbling crew of sad-sacks into the winners they were destined to be... Here's to you, Michelle!

Kyle Finnegan came screaming out of the playoff gate on Tuesday night, ripping off a perfect 5-5 at the plate and stroking two homers in the process. Backing his team with half their RBI's at five, Kyle put the nail in the coffin in the 6th inning by contributing to a four run rally. Nice game Kyle!

Hannah is hands down the player of the week with her skills at the plate and her defense in the field. For the two games she was 8 for 9 with a triple and several doubles. She made several catches and scoops at first base. But what really sets Hannah aside is her leadership she gives to her team. Know to be very competitive Hannah quickly reels her team back in. It's easy to see why she is her teams captian and leader. Way to go Hannah and congrats on this seasons championship!!
