Winter Co-ed Flag Football at Juanita HS Sundays

Folks, let me tell you a little something about Nic M. Nic M plays the game of flag football with 2 rules: Take Absolutely No Prisoners, and Try and Return Every Single Interception I Get For A TD. Nic nailed rule #1, playing for two teams and having numerous fantastic catches and runs for scores, and he just about nailed #2. What I mean by just about nailed, as in he had 3 INTs but was only able to bring 2 back for TDs. One of those TDs started in his own endzone, as he gracefully avoided flag grab after flag grab en route to a 58 yard INT return (known to be the unofficial Underdog Record for longest INT return). Great job out there, Nic!

Not often to i get to mention a Quarterback in a write up but today I couldn't help but notice his performance. Jason showed up to play a whole game of football and not just run the offense. He made outstanding defensive plays including a pic six. Adding up his 4 TD throws there wasn't a single time Jason wasn't involved in scoring. I guess the statement That's Too Deep never bothered Jason!

Nathan J. shined all night for his squad, the Melon Farmers. Nathan was routinely the target downfield, and he showed off his good hands and yards after catch skills. Nathan racked up countless receiving yards in both games his team played. Nathan's POTW honors were earned after 39 minutes and 53 seconds of play when he caught the game winning catch in his second game with 7 seconds left. This TD catch stretched the field and put his squad up 39 to 36, extending the Farmers season one more week! Great game Nathan, you are the Player of the Week!
