This week's Player of the Week goes to Shocker Christina Rios - a.k.a "J-Lo" from team The Power of Glove. Christina brought her Wichita St talent to Magnolia this opening weekend and showed off her collegiate talent with graceful doubles and superb defense. It was while she was positioned at shortstop that Christina fielded a ball that ricocheted off her own pitcher yet still managed to fire the runner out at first. It's not everyday that Underdog Softball witnesses a Derek Jeter-like play, thus, congrats J-Lo for winning this weeks POW!

They Might Be Giants
A hard fought battle between They Might Be Giants and Blank My Balls found Player of the Week Joe Szeto in a pressure situation with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th inning. With no hits to that point, Joe smashed a 2-out, bases clearing double, giving his team the lead heading into the 7th inning. Joe also played phenomenal defense behind the plate at catcher, making multiple plays at home to keep runners from scoring. Congratulations Joe on a terrific game and helping your team to victory!

Dan rocked the field on Sunday against Snatches and Balls, slugging out 3 home runs, a double and a single in one game. But that wasn't all! Dan played spectacularly on defense as well, even getting horizontal for a diving catch at shortstop. Dan led helped lead his team to victory this week on both sides of the field and that's why he's the Player of the Week! Congratulations!

Too Drunk to Score - Indy #1
One of the best games of the day transpired between the Aluminum Falcons and Too Drunk to Score as the two teams battled it out for supremacy for all seven innings. Entering the bottom of the frame in the seventh, Too Drunk to Score was down by two runs and proceeded to load the bases after consecutive singles with only one out. Josh Gallant's bat didn't even give the defense a chance as he sent a towering shot over their heads for a game winning grand slam! Josh also pounded out seven RBI's for the game, shouldering half of his team's RBI's. Great game Josh!

That's What SHE Said!!
Kyle Erwin electrified the field on Sunday with his batting, hitting 2 homeruns, a triple, a double and a whopping 13 RBI's! Kyle also made a tremendous effort on defense, patrolling the outfield like no one's business and catching fly ball after fly ball with terrific range. Kyle "snatched" a win away from Snatches n Balls in his team's victory, so way to go Kyle on a great game!
