Spring Gentlemens Flag Football at Juanita HS Sundays

It isn't often that the player of the week doesn't score a touchdown in the game, but that's the case this week. Jake Montero recorded 5 sacks, three of them in a critical stretch near the Cougs endzone in a 33-24 win over Thank You, Come Again. With the Cougs clinging to a 25-24 lead, Thank You had the ball first and goal, with less than a minute remaining. Jake sacked the Thank You QB on 2nd, 3rd and 4th down to secure the win. Great Job, Jake!

Bryan Palaruan's constant pressure on the QB led that's what she said to a convincing 34-14 win over Jacked Up. The game was close for the first 25 minutes, but thanks to Palaruan's pressure, the Jacked Up QB was forced into some ill advised throws that led to interceptions. Great Job Bryan.

Faruk Punjani (the J is silent) is this weeks player of the week. Faruk was a one man show leading Thank you Come Again to a hard fought victory over Avenue A. Punjani had 5 TD catches and a key interception in Thank you's big win. Great Work Faruk!

In one of the many great games of the first day of the playoffs, Mark Pan caught a touchdown pass with 1 second remaining to lead Zack and the Zack Attack over the T-Baggers. The T-Baggers scored late to take the lead, but Zack and the Zack attack converted a 3rd down and long with less the 20 seconds remaining in the game. On 3rd down from just above the numbers the Zack QB found Mark Pan in the back of the end zone to take the late lead. Great Catch, Mark!
