Fall Midcore Volleyball at First Baptist Wednesdays

Cam brings a great personality to his team. A number of times I was caught laughing on the sidelines to one of his witty little comments. On top of that, Cam is a major contributor to his teams wins. After going 1 and 1 in the first two games, the 3rd game was the one to win. With his team being down in score, Cam stepped up to the back line and went on a great serving streak to pull his team ahead and making it that much easier for them to pull out the win. Which they did!!

Ashley's team got the chance to play two matches tonight due to a no show team. Her team was working hard in the second match, but unfortunately lost the first two games. Right before the final game Ashley looked at the other team said "We're gonna win this one!" Ashley has so far been a pretty quiet player so to have her bust out these words was pretty entertaining, but what followed was even better.

In the first couple of plays of that 3rd game, Ashley received a beautiful set from her teammate and just crushed a kill. A couple plays after that she pulled out a go-go-gatdget arm move to save a falling ball and put it just over the net for another point. Ashley and her teammates were keeping to her threat and continued on with it until they sealed the victory of game 3!

Throughout this season Chris has been an outstanding playing on the court. Tonight I started equating his skills to the cast of the Avengers. He's the cool headed captain, has sharp shooter serves like hawkeye, smashes his attacks like the hulk or maybe even Thor, his passes and sets are as quiet and smooth as black widow and he flies through the air like Iron man. Try matching him against Loki and his crew and he will put them in their place any day.
