Fall Midcore Volleyball at First Baptist Mondays

Eric Helmreich is the player of the week! He was a great team player and was really enthusiastic! He had consistent serves, digs, and hits making him an all around asset to the team. Good job, Eric! Keep up the good work!

Brooke is a fierce competitor with a mentality for teamwork! She is constantly pushing herself to not only hit with power, but to be smart with placement. She is the first to accept a mistake and try again at the next opportunity. Brooke is encouraging to her teammates and a positive leader on the court! She had an amazing pancake as well as some great digs, hits and serves! It was an overall great night for Brooke and her team. Keep up the hard work, Brooke! :)

Darian came ready to go last night! He was a supportive teammate and was always cheering them on whether he was on the court or not! His team quickly picked up their energy and got started on a serving streak that also led to some great rallies. His coverage was all over the court and his hits have improved tremendously. Good job, Darian! We love the enthusiasm :)

Alex gets the player of the week award tonight not just for her mad skills on the court, but also her cool head and positive attitude. During her teams' semi-finals match there were some tense moments on the court. In each scenario, Alex calmly stepped in to say "let's just replay it" and everyone listened. She did not get swept up in the "who done it" game, but rather stuck to the Underdog mindset of "who cares, it's rec ball." For that I thank her.

I do have to point out the rock star skills that Alex also brought to the court tonight in both her matches. She went on multiple serving streaks, had a number of point scoring kills and was a defense machine. Through the entire night she had a smile on her face and was very visibly enjoying her time on the court. Keep up that great attitude and those ass kicking skills!
