The Happy Hour Heroes suffered a devastating 1st inning giving up 8 runs. Any other team may have lost their drive, but H^3 kept plugging away, scoring a run or two every inning until they exploded in the final inning. They scored 8 runs to come withing 4. The bases were loaded with the tying run at the plate. The kick was good but the defense was better. Were it not for the Manhandlers tight D this could have been one of the greatest comebacks in Underdog history.
Chris had a dream game on both sides of the ball. Chris drove in 7 of his team's 10 runs while scoring two himself. He finished the game with two triples, two doubles and a single. Credit must also be given to his teammates for getting on base. On the defensive side of the ball Chris made his presence felt in center field. After the other team hit 3 HRs while he was playing in the infield, Steve moved back and made multiple monster catches in deep deep center field in later innings to keep the game close.
In a very tight game, already early in the season, Angie upchurch came up with the big play to win a close game. Playing a tough team the "Manhandlers" who showed great strengths with a big homer, and awesome fielding, but came up short. Angie upchurch came through in the bottom of the seventh with a big kick to score the winning run in this match. She also played solid in the field, well rounded performance for the player of the week!! Great job Angie, and the "Happy Hour Heroes".!
