For the second straight season, Monday Nights at Imperial Lanes came down to Roy Munson's Kids and Team Poop Boy. This time, TPB put up more of a fight however they again ended up being the bridesmaids. The gang from Roy Munson's Kids have made winning a habit as the group continues to garner championships throughout Underdog Sports Leagues. Just this past Saturday, they were also able to win a flag-football championship under the name Playing the Field. It will be interesting to see if they will try a new sport and take on a new challenge as they have proven themselves more than worthy on the gridiron and the lanes.
With the most clutch performance of the season, Will Braden etched his name into the Big Turkey Bowling record books with high scores in both of his team's victories on Monday night. Will led Roy Munson's Kids through the semi-finals against Gutter Me Up and then made sure the gang didnt let up in the finals against their cheif rival, Team Poop Boy.
The nominations are in and the votes have been counted and it is unanamous. Bethany Nielson is our Player of the Week for week 2 on the strength of a 164 and a 154. Her team's total of 1294 was one of the all-time high scores in league history. On the flip side, Leave No Pin Behind took a tough 4-0 defeat. Their two game score of 1169 was the second highest of the night and they got no points to show for it. Perhaps in future, luck will find it's way over to them.
