Notes

First Place

Spring Softcore Kickball at Lower Woodlands Wednesdays

On a day where we all thought the weather was gonna rain our championship, the sun and the stars came out instead. In our first game, Sheenfaced player, Mike Pesce, was the MVP. He played outstanding d, getting people out all game long. Sheenfaced needed it too. The game was close the whole time, with each team scoring almost every inning but it was Mike's game winning double play that sealed Dunder Miffin's fate. Our other game was a lot like the other. Indy #1 and Ball Related had a nail biter also. With a 10-9 lead, it was Alex Wong who was the player of the game and sealed the win with a game winning double including 3 runs. It was all set up. Sheenfaced and the Indy team for the championship. Sheenfaced decided to put brand new pitcher Nandi Thurn in. Straight from having surgery and going through recovery she pitched the whole game flawlessly. With Sheenfaced scoring early and often it was the Indy team that made the game interesting. They scored almost all their runs in the 6th and 7th inning. Tying the game in the top of the 7th. If it was for David Donowick's 3 run homerun and all around hustle on defense, this game would have gone a different direction. With a runner on 2nd, David kicked the ball hard and far. Scoring the game winning run for Sheenfaced. Thank you both teams for a entertaining game. Congrats on a great season.

POTW: David Donovick

Sheenfaced

A Championship to be remembered. I mean wow. On a brisk clear night. David was not gonna let his team down. He had a little bit of everything in both games. Timely defense when it looked like both teams were on the cusp of breaking through. David motivated his team and then the moment happened when he hit a inside the park/field 3 run homerun. Yes you heard it. Inside the field. With his uncanny running speed and flashy moves he managed to dodge the ball from all angles. You should play in our dodgeball league too David. Great job.
