Winter Softcore Kickball in Ballard Saturdays

Saturday, February 19

POTW: Kevin Maki

Bottoms Up

This week's player of the week goes to Mr. Kickball, Kevin Maki of team Bottoms Up. Pink is usually a nonthreatning color. Most of us consider pink to be thought of as soft, cuddly, maybe a little feminine. Well when Kevin puts on his pink uniform he is all but what was mentioned above. On Saturday, this dude demonstrated a tough and determined attitude on the mound by kicking and throwing out a ton of female bunters, forcing teams to rethink their kicking strategy. Also, this all star displayed precision kicking, knocking the ball directly in the defenses' holes (don't giggle). Great job out there Kevin. No one will ever judge you based soley upon your uniform.

Saturday, February 5

POTW: Chris Zentz

Bottoms Up

This week's player of the week goes to Senor' Chris Zentz. Talk about your comeback kings. This gentleman was giving it his all at the plate but unfortunately, his kicks were all going right to Cobra Kai's outfielders. Anyone in his position could easily find themselves down in the dumps but not Chris. W/help from his Zen master and keeping a positive attitude, Chris came through with a sweet shot to center to tie up the game late in the 7th. Nice work out there, dawg! Thanks for settting the example and teaching us to keep our heads up:)
