Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball on Capitol Hill Saturdays

In the championship game brought 2 solid teams together for the big "Show-down". Athletes in Training were in serious mode, except for their first-baseman, and focused for the task at hand. They won their first of two games in high scoring fashion and kept the bats hot for the chipper. Jumping out with 6 runs in the first and followed by 7 runs in the second they established an early 8 run lead and kept adding to it when needed. Hit-it and Forget About It came in with a solid regular season zero loss season, and couldn't get anything going against a solid "D" with Athletes in training. Every time they mounted a little rally, it was quickly squashed with great plays in the field, or a quick double play! Great job to both teams, and great seasons to both!

Saturday, June 12

POTW: Lisa Feigenbaum

Athletes in Training

This weeks player of the week goes to Lisa Feigenbaum for her stellar play at third base, and big hits all day. She was a gold glove when the ball was hit to her, and let nothing get by her. She helped her team get plenty of outs and was a big reason her team won the champ shirts. Great job Lisa!

Saturday, May 8

POTW: Keith Brakebill

Athletes in Training

This weeks player of the week goes to Keith Brakebill for his outstanding performance both offensively and defensively, all while being ill! With a double header, Keith's team relied on him throwing strikes and making outs, which he did. He also had great hits in two close games and gave it his all while being aggressive on the bases to get into scoring position. He also made a couple of diving catches, and earned his team a couple of "W's". Great job keith!
