Notes

First Place

Spring Midcore Kickball at U-District Playfield Tues/Thurs

Game one of the day was between number one Blue Barracudas and number five seed Thunder Thighs. Blue Barracudas were looking like tough well oiled machines. They could see the champ shirts in the distance, BUT...Thunder Thighs had another plan. In the last few innings, Thunder Thighs caught momentum working off of the few mistakes by the Barracudas and took hold of the game from there. It was Murphy M and Lauren C's consistent base runs that really kicked Thunder Thighs into gear.
Game two was a show down between number two Violent Chubbies and number six seed Where My Pitches At. Where My Pitches At came into the game with some serious determination to be the underdog that comes out top, however Jeff L and Carl M had other ideas over on the Violent Chubbies side. These guys weren't letting anything past them. They were the black holes in outfield doing justice for their team in a solid victory.
At last the final game...Thunder Thighs against Violent Chubbies. One might say, this was a very emotional game. Who knew a game of kickball could get so serious (go figure), but this is championships! And they came here for one thing! Champ shirts and beer to compliment a victory! The entire game was very close, it was Kevin G. that brought the Thunder Thighs on top with his triple to end the game

POTW: Kevin Gleason

Thunder Thighs

Kevin is the true hero for the Thunder Thighs win. Championship game or not, Kevin brings that A-game EVERY game, and it definitely came in use for the underdogs to come out on top for this game. Thunder Thighs were down just by a couple points. Kevin was up to kick and lays one down hard to the outfield. That allows his teammates to run in and take the lead for one well deserved victory. Nice work

Thursday, May 13

POTW: Chase Thompson

Thunder Thighs

In what turned out to be an epic battle between Where's My Pitches At? and Thunder Thighs, Chase Thompson turned in spectacular performance that helped his team comeback. Throughout the game there were momentum swings by both teams; Chase's solo home run helped Thunder Thighs open up the lead early on their opponent. Where's My Pitches At? came storming back to take a commanding 10-4 lead. Chase added an RBI and run as apart of a five run rally in the fifth to cut the lead to one. Still down one Chase provided the game tying run in the bottom of seventh. The game ended in a 10-10 tie.

Thursday, May 6

POTW: Colin Davis

Thunder Thighs

Colin had a rough start to this game...TWO catching errors was definitely not a norm for him. BUT when it came down to crunch time for an all important catch, he completely redeemed himself. once again Colin is MVP for Thunder Thighs for his expertise

Thursday, April 15

POTW: Chase Thompson

Thunder Thighs

Chase was an aggressive player on opening day! He caught 4 pop flies, and contributed 2 runs to his teams solid win! Although he claims a third that he was robbed of! Job well done!
