Chris Clark

BBB

Chris definitely earned his POTW commendation for his dominating offensive performance in what ended up being a triple-header for BBB. He started it right away in game 1 with a 2-run single in the 1st followed by a 3-run double in the 2nd and it just got better. He had been judging the high fence down RF marked '158' and cranked a 5th inning bomb over and out of the park for a Grand Slam HR. Not to end there and with BBB filling in for a missing team for a third game, he kicks a solo HR in the 3rd and another for 2 runs in the 7th to ice a 3-win day for his team. Next challenge--the '160' marker down the left field line...more to come.

Chris Clark

BBB

Chris came to the field today ready to demolish some balls--kickballs that it is--and he succeeded! Early in the game between his team, BBB [Body by Brett], and Pitches be Trippin', Chris blasted a shot down the right field line that literally was about 2 feet from clearing the fence [at least 20' high] and is the closest I've seen to a ball leaving this field. But his team was still down by 5 as we entered the bottom of the 7th. The table was set, bases loaded and Chris laces a high, twisting kick into right field that gets past the fielder and just keeps rolling for a Grand Slam homerun and a well deserved player of the week.
