Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Volleyball at Hazel Valley Elementary School - Burien

This had been the third match up between Glen's Angels and Stuff Sacks. But this time, it was a little different. Two key players for Glen's Angels were missing in action therefore they had to play four vs six. Stuff Sacks had played so hard in the battle to advance that by 9:30 of the Championship game with massive serves from the setter Heather. It was an exciting night for volleyball. Glen's had done well in the match to advance to the championship round and agian with only four people, showed just how good they really are. The first game was a combination of rally's and scrappiness. Glen's Angels battled to win the first game 25 to nine with Celest being their "go to" setter. Greg also had some fantastic saves and one strong ten foot line smasher that got the crowd of three excited. Game two was a hard fight. Stuff Sacks never gave up even when Heather took one for the team and wore a hit by John. She showed how tough she really was and partied on. Fred and Kelly tried so hard to find the ball to block Stefan's quit hits but came up short 25-14. These two teams played so well all evening and represented USL and Burien with good form and great sportsmanship.

POTW: Stefan Dickason

Glen's Angels

As usual Glen's Angels proved their athletic volleyball skills on the court. Stefan really played well this week and is noted as the player of the week because of his cute smile full of braces and his ability to play out of his comfort zone as outside hitter. His jumps are out of this world and he continued to find a way to make great contact with the ball! Great Job Stefan your team loves you and you really stepped up when they needed you.

Thursday, April 30

POTW: Liz Quitiquit

Glen's Angels

It was one of the finest moments of Burien V-ball League history, Liz Q sets up her partner for a stunning quick set that converted into a smashing ten foot line POINT! She lead her team to a 3-0 victory with such intensity and skill. As her teammates said, "No ball hit the ground with Liz around!"

Thursday, April 23

POTW: Greg Quitiquit

Glen's Angels

On the opening night of the second game of the new Hazel Valley Elementary School in Burien Glen's Angels came to play! They were super strong on the net and picked up everything. The POG was most definitely Greg Quitiquit who had several strong kills. His determination and skills helped in the success of his team winning 3-0.
