It was the Green Meanies who struck first. And then the Pirates struck back to knot it at one all. Then the meanies struck again, taking a 3-1 lead and not backing down. However, in the bottom half of the inning the Pirates again countered with two more runs of their own. We remained tied at three until about the 4th inning, when the Pirates' previous championship experience took over and they pulled away. In the end, their kicks were just too big, their baserunners just too fast for the Meanies, and the games final score of 15- 4 failed to reflect just how close this game was for the first few innings. In the end, The Pirates were victorious while the Meanies could only dream of what might have been.
