One Hit Wonders has a secret that makes their team so good. Perhaps it's that they arrive early and stay after each game to talk strategy. Perhaps it's their desire to do their best and show up with an army ready to play. Perhaps it's their team name which fools their opponents! Whatever it is, this team has something special because they worked hard to get to playoffs!
They won their first game of the night winning all three matches to bring them to the Finals. They were ready and could see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, the team they were facing is a team they've played before a few times and it was looking to be another competitive game. The other team, Safe Sets, came ready to play and were looking for a victory as well. The first match was a landslide victory with One Hit Wonders taking the win 25-12. Then the second match was a huge turn around. Both teams were getting aces, both were getting kills, and it was getting real interesting. All of the sudden, One Hit Wonders buckled down and won the game with a 5 point lead! What a match!
What I love most about One Hit Wonders is their desire to play fair and fun games. They are honest when it comes to making calls that affect the score on either side of the court. This team represents Underdog and their values without a doubt and they truly worked hard for this win!
During the game tonight, one of the other teams were short a few players so Kami volunteered to play with them. She had a double header with her own team so we all appreciate her being such a great sport! Kami is truly representing the Underdog spirit by not only making sure her own team plays well and has a good time, but she went out of her way to help others!
