Millennium Monsters Unleashed comes together for first victory of season!

Couple of nice defensive plays help secure victory

It had been kind of a rough go of it for the Millennium Monsters Unleashed so far, but they took out their frustrations by clobbering Balls Deep 9-1 for their first victory of the season. You could hardly tell they were a winless team coming into their doubleheader, kicking the ball around laughing with their teammates, true Underdogs. They used a couple of nice defensive gems (including an unassisted double play in the 2nd and 3rd inning!) and some well-placed kicks that took advantage of a very deep outfield to come together as a team. It came down to the bottom of the 7th, still working with a comfortable lead but with the opposing team threatening with runners on base, a line shot was kicked right to the super sub, Mel H, who caught the ball, looked around in horror as her teammates directed her what to do "throw here!" "step on the base!" "hold the ball!" before stomping on second base to end the game. Amazing effort out there, Millennium Monsters Unleashed, the spitting image of a true Underdog team!
