Piling up impressive stats is the easy way to be named player of the week. While Nick did have a great night, 4 for 4 with 4 runs scored, he wins the award on sheer heart and hustle. As catcher, Nick flashed his brilliant speed every time out. He would scoop up a bunt then not even think about throwing and try to out run the batter to first. Nick also sacrificed his body, not afraid of getting a little dirty. There was no chance his team was losing tonight, Nick willed the victory home. Great game Nick!!
