Spring Funcore Kickball Downtown Tues/Thurs

The perfect season! After crushing opponents all season, scoring double-digit runs in every single game, Bunch O' Morons were well aware that playoff games are different, and were able to come together as a team and win two tough playoff games by a run each.
In their first playoff match-up against Draft This, a team they had clobbered 15-5 earlier in the season, BO'M got a quick reality check when they gave up 3 runs in the first two innings to find themselves in an early hole. It wasn't until the bottom of the 6th inning that the feet finally woke up, scoring 3 runs to take the lead and playing amazing defense in the 7th to secure a slot in the championship game.
Facing a team they beat 13-4 earlier in the season in Sev Run 2.0, they knew not to underestimate anybody, and they showed it with a very well played championship game. Each team scored a run in the first two innings, when "Captain Moron", Shane Deegan, raced around the bases for an inside-the-park-homerun to give his team the lead in the 3rd, a lead which they never relinquished. Shane was really doing it all in this game, pitching brilliantly and single-handily turning two double plays in the later innings to preserve the lead. Things got a little dicey in the 7th, as Sev Run 2.0 had the tying and go-ahead runs in scoring position before what seemed like a lazy fly ball to center ended up being the game-ending double play (assisted by a little confusion on the runners' behalf). When it was all said and done, Bunch O' Morons celebrated in the middle of the diamond the perfect season. Congrats guys!

Shane Deegan

Shane "The Beard" D wills team to championship!

The funcore scoring might have been done with, but that didn't stop Bunch O Morons from dressing up in "nerdy" attire, lead by their pitcher Shane D. Shane had a day most underdogs dream of, pitching two complete games and contributing on the offense and defensive side of the ball. In the championship game, he smacked a home run leading off the 3rd to put his team ahead for good, then caught a sharp line drive for a double play in the 6th as the opposition was rallying. And the beard, how could we forget the amazing beard? Shane had everything working last night, congrats to him for earning Player of the Week honors!

Concerned Opposition

Bunch O' Morons is the team of the week! We had a game ending injury in game, and Bunch O' Morons stood by attempting to help and care for the injured player on the opposing team. Bunch O' Morons showed that this game is really meant to be fun for all teams, and the care shown for the injured player was exceptional. Thank you Bunch O' Morons and Rikickulus!

Bunch O' Morons chose to dress up and play their game looking like Where's Waldo. This is the main reason they played so well together with enthusiasm. Awesome job Bunch O' Morons for making the game fun!
