Notes

First Place

Spring Gentlemen's Flag Football at Seattle Center Saturdays

Team Douchebag is has a formula for winning championships. They step up their game when it matters most and their playoff run is a perfect example of that. For the second time, they came from the bottom half of the bracket and played their way into the finals and again, they were victorious. The win was sweet redemption because in the last two seasons, Team Douchebag had put together a strong regular season only to be knocked off early in the playoffs. This season, however they would not be denied. The only thing more memorable than their run to the title was the championship game itself. The 27-26 barnburner came down to the last play and will never be forgotten by those who played in it.

Saturday, June 2

POTW: Shawn Brady

Team Douchebag

With all due respect to Damon Burch and all the other worthy candidates, Player of the Week goes to the man who was involved in a number of huge plays that made the difference in an extremely narrow 27-26 championship game victory for Team Douchebag. Shawn Brady had two interceptions including a key interception late. On offense, Shawn made his impact when his team needed him most as he scored the game winning touchdown with 12 seconds left to go.

Saturday, May 19

POTW: Zane Shiras

Team Douchebag

After breezing by in the opening round, Team Douchebag ran into some stiff competition in Bring The Pain in the 2nd round. After taking a late 25-19 lead, Team Douchebag needed a big play on defense to carry them into the next round. Johnny on the spot was Zane Shiras who made a game sealing interception just in the nick of time to preserve the win.
