Crosswired and Beer Stains met in the Championship game, both coming off great seasons. Both teams possessed great offenses and defenses, and it was the outstanding play of the ladies on both teams that fueld their success. On paper it was a very evenly matched up game, but Crosswired came out quick, and got things clicking on offense. Crosswired put up points on numerous early game possessions and got out to a big lead, and relied on the INT's the defense racked up. With the very wet conditions Beer Stains had trouble putting together a comeback, as the receivers had trouble gripping the ball. With Crosswire's sneaky defense along with the rain there were to many elements to deal with and Crosswired went on to win 31 to 7. Great season to both teams, and congrats to Crosswired!
Kristi is the Player of the Week for her 3 TD's in the first game of the day. Kristi routinely came up with big plays all season, and with her 3 TD's and numerous other receptions on the day helped her team to the Championship. Kristi not only had a great day she has had a terrific career on the USL gridiron and with that gets this weeks Player of the Week!
Andrew from Crosswired came up big for his team with great receptions and crossing the goal-line numerous times. Andrew had plenty of key catches but it was his 3 TD's that earns him this weeks player of the week. Great job Andrew!
This weeks player of the week goes to Sharon H. for her great offensive output. Sharon stepped in at QB during forced gender plays, and threw dimes. Sharon had a TD pass, which should e been 2 TD passes, but her receiver failed her. Sharon also had a TD reception and with her scoring plays helped her team to the win! Great game Sharon!
