Notes

First Place

Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Thursday

It was a meeting of the undefeated's...a highly anticipated matchup, Sucka Punch = veteran battle tested group in finals by way of a late comeback in a very tense semifinal with El Short Bus ... & Cannon Balls = very athletic newbie team in the finals by way of deflating the hopes of The Ball Squad in their semifinal.
Right from the get-go, Cannon Balls took control. With the Sucka Punch captain quasi sidelined with an injury, there was little he could do but watch as the Cannon Balls got solid pitching and defense from Kevin, continued offensive production from "MVP" Kimi, and the overall domination of P.O.T.W. Jimmy resulted in their first league title. Star outfielder, Craig, for Sucka Punch must be mentioned for back-to-back-to-back amazing diving catches in one inning.
Kudos Cannon Balls.

POTW: Jimmy Ward

Cannon Balls

Capping off a Rookie of the Year worthy season, Jimmy Ward carried his team to a league title. Displaying a mastery in the outfield, able to cover an amazing amount of ground; blazing kicks on offense that literally up-end defenders; & lightning speed on the basepaths, Jimmy was the unanimous P.O.T.W.

Thursday, September 28

POTW: Jim Ward

Cannon Balls

Top of the 7th, his team was down by 3. Jim steps up with the bases loaded and delivered a mighty but all too familiar death blow homerun to the El Short Bus, erupting the Cannonball dugout in celebration, and taking the lead they'd eventually hold on to. Keeping their undefeated status intact.

Thursday, August 24

POTW: Autumn Mittlestad

Cannon Balls

Autumn kept her team in this game with her defense. She made some great catches out in right center and left center field, including one, where the force of the ball knocked her to the ground.
