Notes

First Place

Summer Downtown Seattle Kickball - Cascade - Tues/Thurs

After jumping out to a quick 4-0 lead early in the game, Team Hugeballs chipped away at that lead. Going into the bottom of the 7th inning, with the score 4-2, Team Hugeballs would load the bases and score 2 runs with only 1 out to tie the game. With the bases still loaded, Remember Rainier's defense went into high gear and stopped Hugeballs for the last 2 outs. Rainier would face a similar situation in the bottom of the 8th inning. This time, Hugeballs loaded the bases with 0 outs before Rainier stopped them with great defense, including a great play at home plate by Lisa Coble. They would go ahead in the top of the 9th inning on a sacrifice fly, then pick up 3 outs in the bottom of the 9th for the championship win.

POTW: Lisa Coble

Remember Rainier

Lisa's play at the plate stopped the Hugeballs from taking the championship in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Tuesday, August 22

POTW: Timothy Burke

Remember Rainier

Tim set the record for most slips and slides around the bases on a slippery day at Cascade, tearing around the bases like a madman to inspire his team in their 7-4 win, even though he was playing against them. Its ok Tim, we'll always have Rainer.
