No team name could better reflect its players' abilities and mentalities as well as The Wolfpack does. The championship match against Spiked Punch proved to show their inner fight, tenaciousness and cohesiveness as they battled tooth and nail to take a close victory. From the start I could tell it was going to be a battle with The Wolfpack's sheer strength and strong presence on one side, and Spiked Punch's phenomenal blocking and defense on the other. This great match up allowed for long rallies with players annihilating the ball, digging up laser beam hits, strategically distributing the sets, and stuff blocking the hardest of hits. Throughout the match serving proved to be a weapon, seeing that there were a few times where a player would string out five or six serves to secure a lead, but both teams stepped up to the challenge and gave it right back. This kept us all on our toes, but in the end The Wolfpack came through to secure their win and claim the throne with scores of 26-24 and 25-20. Great work by both teams and congrats to The Wolfpack for finishing out the season undefeated!
Coming in late, you would think Tiffany would have to shake off some rust. But apparently not for a player of her caliber. Tiffany was making the offense click on all cylinders as she was making the perfect sets for her teammates to pound down. She kept the opposition guessing by disguising the direction of the sets too! A unbelievable setting performance deemed worthy for the player of the week! Great Job Tiffany!
