This seasons Championship game came down to two great teams that are right at home on the grid-iron. Tenacious D went up against West Canaan Coyotes in a matchup that did not dissappoint. Tenacious D was able to open the game with a TD drive and put the pressure on the Coyotes that had no problem responding. The big plays came between the goal lines on the very important chain moving drives. The ladies on both teams were the key to the close game as the ladies came up with all the big catches on both teams. The game changing plays were 2 long TD passes that Tenacios D were able to make that made the difference in the 33 to 26 outcome. All other drives in the game were hard fought drives up the field with short passes, and some solid rushes. At the end Tenacious D won the championship and the Coyotes congratulated them, with a look that said "Enjoy it now, we will see ya next season". Great seasons to both teams!
This weeks player of the week is Sean L. for his output on offense that helped crown his team the Champs. Sean threw passes with precision, and ran the ball with speed. In the 2 games Sean played he was involved in every score that totaled 60 points in the 2 games against very good defenses. Great games Sean!
This weeks honors go to Tenacious D's whole team as they played great against a tough opponent. Tenacious and Thunder Gun Express went back and forth with solid offenses but it was Tenacious D that put up the win with a 22 to 24 victory. Everyone played great and with everyone contributing TD starts the season 1 and 0. Great game to both teams!
