Beer N Bacon showed off their clutch ability time and time again in the postseason. First round of playoffs required an extra innings walk off homer. The semi final game was a nail biter that wasn't decided until the last out. Who would of expected anything more from their championship game.
Beer N Bacon came out early jumping on the Avvo raters by throwing up a 4 spot in the first inning. Avvo spent the rest of the game chipping away at the lead. Finally in the 5th inning the game was tied up. It seemed this game was headed to extra innings, which was familiar territory for Beer N Bacon. In the top half of the extra frame, BNB proved their clutch ability again by scoring a lone run. After a quick 1-2-3 bottom inning, Beer N Bacon rushed the field celebrating another amazing victory. Great season guys and congrats on your championship!
The playoffs require teams to give a little extra. For Beer n Bacon that meant extra innings. After giving up the leading run in the top half of the extra frame, someone needed to step up. With 1 out and a runner at first, Brian came up with the game on the line. Reliving every kids backyard fantasy, Brian waited for his pitch and crushed a walk off 2 run homer. What an electric play, fantastic job Brian!!
Huge offensive numbers may look great, but everyone knows that it is defense that wins the game. While Beer n Bacon may have put up 15 runs, it was Anna's amazing D at SS that drove them to victory. It was her sure hands on the force outs at 2nd, concentration in catching the pop flys and quickness in turning a double play that stifled the Fierce Creatures and brought the win home. Great play Anna!
