In the Midcore championship brought two solid teams in RJ's Pop Shot and Rounding Third. This game was all defense with very little run production with both teams having the field on lock-down. In the top of the 7th the score was 12 to 4 and the dreams of Rounding were looking grim. The first pitch was tossed and the crack of the lead off bat set the tone of the bottom of the 7th and the rally started early. It was Sarah G. who had the pressure comig to the plate twice and produced 2 clutch hits and capped off a 9 run rally with the game winning RBI. Both teams had solid seasons, but there is only one Champ and thats Rouding Third! Great season and excellent game.
This weeks honors go to the whole squad of Rounding Third. Rounding Third made a late game rally to earn the honors as they only put up 4 runs in the first 6 innings and went into the bottom of the 7th down 8 runs and their hopes looking grim. It was at that point that the bats heated up and the runs poured in. Rounding Third was able to put up 9 runs to win their championship with a score of 12 to 13. Great job to the whole team on a great win!
