Arbornauts Get Twisted

Monae Thomas Leads Twist With Inspiring Play

Sunday against the Arbornauts, it seemed early on that Twist needed a small jump start to really get going. Monae provided that jump start first with an incredible catch behind the plate on a very high pop up and then at the plate where she shined. Her inspiring play definitely helped Twist get the tires turning and scoring some much needed runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. She played an awesome game and definitely played a part in Twist surviving late in the game. Great job Monae!

Twist

While Christian picked up the Player of the Game, it was Joanne who picks up the Player of the Week. After giving up 3 runs in the top of the 7th, Twist was chasing 4 to bring home the win. Christian kept the early rally alive, chopping a high pitch for a single, but it was Joanne's long double to left field which brought in the tying runs. She would eventually come around to score when the next batter laced a single for the win.
