Notes

Sunday, March 31

Jay Sherwood

Springfield Isotopes

Springfield Isotopes put an impressive exclamation point on a convincing win on Sunday evening. The star third basemen dove to right for a backhanded stab of a hot shot down the line, then got to his feet to fire strike to beat the runner for the final out. The play was the culmination of an impressive victory for the Isotopes as they moved to 2-0 on the season.

Sunday, March 24

Breana Minnitti

Springfield Isotopes

The Springfield Isotopes came out on top with hardest fought game of the evening thanks to a stellar performance by Breana Minnitti. Breana started the scoring in the 2nd inning by blasting a home run over a shallow CF, who clearly wasn't respecting her power. To cap it off, Breana finished the game with a walk-off 2 RBI triple in the bottom of the 7th to break an 11-11 tie and propel the Isotopes to victory.
