In the men's championship game 2 well rounded teams came to the field, and the game did not disappoint the fans. Blood Sweat and Beers vs. D*mn Its Cold Out Here, brought two teams packed with talent and confidence. The chatter between the squads started early and both teams were able to back it up. Its Cold played steady ball all game not allowing a turnover on offense which Blood Sweat and Beers rely on the numerous turnovers their team gets on defense were unable to find a flaw. D*mn Its Cold's QB dissected the field to move the chains with every means possible. Not known for a team who racks up lots of rushing yards, the QB was able to keep the ball away from excellent DB's and run for numerous first downs and march the ball. With the final score ending 43 to 36 D*mn its cold was able to get an early lead and keep it the whole game with lock-down defense and steady offensive play. When the buzzer sounded for the end of the game the losing team was gracious and applauded the new league Champs. Great game D*mn Its Cold Out Here!
This weeks player of the week goes to Cody N. and his smart play at the QB position. D*mn it's Cold Out Here played Blood, Sweat, and Beers in the championship game, and it was a solid contest to the end. Cody was able to throw 0 INT's against a team who averages roughly 5 a game, and mad small precision throws to dissect the defense. Cody was also smart on his feet converting multiple first downs by rushing the ball, and keeping long drives alive in a great matchup! Cody earns this weeks player of the week, as well as league champ! Great game Cody!
