The top two seeds of the division, Malicious and Green, faced off in this battle of the titans. Green put together several efficient drives to the tune of 31 first half points, capitalizing on the slow start of Malicious, whose receivers had a number of uncharacteristic drops and only one touchdown catch in the first period.
The Malicious team that we have all come to respect and fear showed up in the second half and was somehow able to cut the lead to a touchdown. With a minute left Green was faced with a 4th and long, deep in their own territory. Unbelievably they chose to go for it, risking turning the ball over on downs and giving a scorching hot Malicious team the rock only seven yards away from paydirt. Not only did Green convert the 4th down, but Brian Lenz scored a touchdown on a sick double move that left him wide open sprinting toward the end zone. Champions show up in crunch time. That's what Green did last Sunday and Champions they are today. Congrats!
