On a perfect day for football, 4 teams were remaining to be crowned champion but only one team could take that title home. On field one, we had two very good teams, Flag Snaggers and The Hand of GOB. The first half it was a really close game. They matched each other with great defense at time and great offense at other times. Going into half it was tied. The second half turned out to be a different story. Flag Snaggers showed a bit more determination and wanted to go onto the next round. They scored a TD and ended up making it a two score game. This put the game away. The Hand Of Gob went home disappointed.
On Field 3 we had Laughter in Slaughter and Lords of DAWG Town. Unfortunately this was not a very close game. Laughter in Slaughter was over matched early in the game. This was due to their QB getting injured while playing Defense. The lords of DAWG town quickly scored and scored often while displaying great defense. They easily won the game.
In the Championship game we had two great teams, Flag Snaggers and Lords of DAWG Town. The game was close through out. Both teams played great defense. Neither team could seem to score. The game went into half time tied. In the second half it had appeared that Lords of DAWG Town was going to break it open and take the lead but due to a costly interception the Flag Snaggers proved they were more eager to win. Towards the end of the game Flag Snaggers put the game out of reach by scoring two TDs. They held onto the lead to win the championship.
This weeks player of the week goes to Brian Buensuceso and his stellar play in his playoff game. Brian was a menace to the opposing QB with his quick speed and forced lots of hurried passes. He also made a sweet play by jumping up to deflect a pass but was able to get under it to intercept it and return it to the endzone! Great job Brian!
This weeks player of the week goes to Yao for Flag Snaggers and his scoring performance. In a very close game it was Yao who made the difference for his team and helped them get a win 18 to 14. Yao Snagged a TD catch on offense, but his big play came on special teams. WIth the game on the line it was Yao's long punt return that put his team over the top. Great job Yao on a great game!
