Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball at Northacres Sundays

The Big Cats can finally relax and savor the moment after knocking off the Moist Towelettes to secure their very first league title. After their semi final matchup with That's What She Said everyone in the building had a feeling that this team was destined. I have seen them come up short in years past in heart breaker games and they always vow to be back and get that league title. Well, Sunday was their day and they would not be denied. Led by Peter, Tristan, Jordan, Jacob, Evan. Matt, Lindsay, Alyssa, Allison, Franchesca, Robbie and the rest of the crew, they were simply too focused and too determined to let this championship slip away. Congratulations to the Big Cats or as I like to call them "El gatos Grande" on your first league title and we look forward to seeing you defend. As the saying goes, "it's hard to get to the top and even harder to stay there". They look like a team that's going to rule for a while until other teams can match their energy and play. Great game everyone!!

Big Cats Capture First League Title

Lady Cats Hot at the Plate All Day Long

Gold Glove and Silver Slugger

This Sunday at Northacres Park, Lane was a demon on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Lane smacked two no-doubter home runs, putting his team on the board early. Defensively, Lane showed serious range and dashed the hope of batters as he chased down fly ball after fly ball. For his all-around dominating performance, Lane is our player of the week. congrats!

Rob Diederichs

The Big Cats

Rob had a huge game for his team. He provided a couple big hits that sparked the offense and used his long frame and flowing locks to make some great run saving plays at first. Off the field Rob was able to keep his team loose and playing effectively through jokes and compliments. He was a complete team player in all phases of Underdog sports. He really showed what Underdog is all about.

The Big Cats Shine Opening Day

Ada Cohen Goes Nuts At The Plate

The Big Cats got off on the right foot on Sunday taking down both of their opponents and scoring a combined 48 runs over both games. Led by Ada Cohen who had never even seen a softball before goes 7 for 8 on the day and shined very bright at 2nd base on defense. This team is the real deal for sure and their play exhibits what it means to hustle your butt off and compete every inning. That's what they do and that's why they win. All other teams beware and please bring your A game if you are going to tangle with this bunch. Great game Ada and great wins Big Cats.
