Peter had a pretty good day throughout Swift Kick in the Grass's double header. His shining moment and reason for getting player of the week was his game ending play in the first game. He managed to get a game ending unassisted double play to put a stop to a Balls n dolls rally that was threatening in the bottom of the 7th and give Swift Kick in the Grass a Victory.
This week the player of the week goes to Joel of a Swift Kick in the Grass. Although the game didn't go their way, Joel managed to entertain and keep is team holding tough with strong offense and exceptional defense. One play can sum up the energy and creativeness he brought to the field. While most players will try to do what their bodies won't allow (or will and end up being another victim of what is Kickball impairment) Joel came up with a macgyver-esque play. The ball was lobbed into the air and Joel managed to track it down and before hitting the ground, use his foot to keep the ball alive and in the air for a teammate to catch for the out. Excellent work!
